Out of stock

This is an immaculate condition example of a WW2 Japanese Nambu Type 14 Semi Auto 8mm Pistol. These were there standard sidearm of the Japanese army throughout WW2. It is a unique pistol in the way that it works. This example is an early wartime manufactured piece without the additional magazine tensioning/retention spring at the front of the grip. This type of pattern Type 14s had trouble with its magazine due to lack of tension. This resulted in the rounds not being fed properly from the magazine to the chamber. This addition of the spring in the later models resolved all the problems. It puts tension on the magazine therefore keeping it in place for the rounds to be picked up by the bolt correctly and it also helped with the magazine stability. This example features the original early small trigger guard that was replaced by a larger guard that helped to improve its functionality when wearing gloves. This is the first variation Nambu with ribbed cocking piece. It is an interesting piece of WW2 history in fantastic condition. Complete with deactivation certificate. Matching number except magazine
