This is an immaculate condition example of the standard WW1 German rifle, the Gewher 98 or G98 as it is commonly know as. The G98 is a beautiful rifle to shoot. It is exceedingly well balanced and the large iron sights make target acquisition easy. The only downfall to this impressive rifle was is ammunition capacity. The British were able to lay down more fire power due to there 10 round magazines as apposed to the Germans 5 round magazine. This rifle has great woodwork showing only little signs of age and it is in prime condition for 100 years old. The metal work is in good condition with only some pitting or frosting. A beautiful iconic rifle that is full of history! Complete with deactivation certificate.
