This is a good condition example of the standard WW1 German rifle, the Gewehr 98 or G98 as it is commonly know as. The G98 is a beautiful rifle to shoot. It is exceedingly well balanced and the large iron sights make target acquisition easy. The only downfall to this impressive rifle was is ammunition capacity. The British were able to lay down more fire power due to there 10 round magazines as apposed to the Germans 5 round magazine. This rifle has good woodwork and it is in great condition for over 100 years old. The metal work is in slightly worn condition with some light pitting and frosting. Complete with deactivation certificate
