Immaculate Double Trigger Tranter Pistol.
On the double-trigger Tranter revolvers, a second trigger below the trigger guard served to cock the gun. With the clever design of the Tranter revolver the user could fire the gun in both single action and double action. It was the pinnacle of engineering at the time and many famous commanders and generals were said to have used it.
This item is in immaculate condition with all Tranter patent marking visible as photographed and all other markings visible.

This is a beautiful Antique British Transitional revolver in excellent condition. It features a plain octagonal barrel and six shot cylinder with good condition nipples. The action works fine although the trigger return spring is at fault. The rounded action and bar hammer are engraved with foliage. Finely chequered walnut grips and engraved back strap and flat engraved butt cap. A beautiful pistol. Antique and obsolete, no licence required.
